Georgia Tech Reportedly Interested In Hiring Duke Assistant Jeff Capel As Head Coach

Georgia Tech's men's basketball program is reportedly interested in hiring Duke assistant Jeff Capel for its vacant head coach position. 

Capel, 41, has been an assistant under Mike Krzyzewski since 2011. He was Oklahoma's head coach from 2006-11 and VCU's head coach from 2002-06. 

The Yellow Jackets have also reportedly reached out to Boston Celtics assistant Jay Larranaga.

Georgia Tech announced last week that it had fired Brian Gregory.

The program hasn't made the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
