Kentucky Got 2 1st-Place Votes In The Final Coaches' Poll Despite Duke Winning It All
The final USA Today Coaches' Poll of the men's college basketball season has been released.
Unsurprisingly, Duke, which won the national championship Monday night, defeating Wisconsin, 68-63, finishes the year as the No. 1 team. The Badgers, who missed out on giving Bo Ryan his first national title at the Division 1 level, end the year at No. 2.
Somewhat surprisingly, though, is that the Blue Devils were not a unanimous No. 1 team. Kentucky, which fell in the Final Four to Wisconsin, received two first-place votes.
