With Amile Jefferson already out, another serious injury would cripple Duke basketball’s depth. In recent games, the Blue Devils have had scares with Matt Jones, who injured his ankle against North Carolina, and Derryck Thornton who briefly left Saturday’s game against Louisville with a shoulder injury. Jones was available for the Louisville game, but did not play.
Today, Mike Krzyzewski gave an update on the two players, and to the relief of Duke fans everywhere, both should be available to play against Florida State on Thursday.
K reiterates that he expects both Matt Jones and Derryck Thornton to play Thursday vs FSU. No structural damage to Thornton’s shoulder

Without Jefferson, Duke essentially has a six-man rotation, with Grayson Allen, Brandon Ingram, Matt Jones, Luke Kennard, Marshall Plumlee, and Derryck Thornton each playing over 25 minutes per game this season. Duke needs all hands on deck is it looks to climb the ACC standings.
