With the college basketball season heating up, the latest projections for the top seeds in the NCAA tournament are out.
This weekend should provide clarity for the upcoming tournament, especially with Duke facing Virginia later today. Nonetheless, the Blue Devils and the Cavaliers have shown they’re two of the best teams in the entire country.
Duke relies on its freshmen trio of Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish. On the other hand, Virginia leans on its upperclassmen in Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome.
While the ACC does feature several elite programs, the No. 1 ranking in the country currently belongs to the Tennessee Volunteers. The dynamic duo of Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield has really taken the SEC by storm.
Even though Tennessee has the top spot in the polls as of this moment, the latest NCAA projections favor Duke.

Gonzaga rounds out the final top seed in the recent bracket. The Bulldogs own an impressive 22-2 record with its losses coming against Tennessee and North Carolina.
Another weekend of intense action in college hoops should either change the projections for the NCAA tournament or create separation for the powerhouse programs.
