In case you’ve been living under a rock, Zion Williamson is making his return to the floor for Duke tonight. Williamson has missed the last six games with a sprained knee.
Williamson suffered the injury when his Nike shoe blew out during the first minute of action against UNC on February 20. He left the game and did not return.
Nike took its share of heat for the product failure that led to Williamson getting hurt. However, they are claiming it shouldn’t be anything to worry about in the future,
The company released a statement before Williamson’s return tonight, calling what happened “an isolated incident.”
“We’re thrilled to see Zion returning to the court,” the statement reads. “After working closely with the Duke Basketball team to examine the issue, we are confident this was an isolated incident. We continue to work with Duke, and all of our partner programs, to ensure we are providing the best product for their athletes.

As expected, Williamson is wearing Nikes on his feet for tonight’s game: the customized Kyrie IV model he wore at the beginning of the season.
Duke and Syracuse are currently playing on ESPN. The winner will take on Syracuse tomorrow night in the ACC Tournament semifinals.
