Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim star outfielder Mike Trout might just be the best player in baseball. A first-round draft pick out of Millville (N.J.) High School in 2009, Trout never attended college. He had been committed to East Carolina but eschewed the college route to begin his promising pro career.
Apparently, the 23-year-old Trout has adopted Duke as his college basketball program of choice. Trout's Blue Devils will take on Utah tomorrow in the Sweet 16, and he decided to have some spring training fun at the expense of his Utah alum teammate, 1B/DH C.J. Cron.
The Blue Devils are definitely favored tomorrow night, but it remains to be seen whether Trout or Cron will have the last laugh in the Angels' locker room.
