Report: Braxton Miller Has "Expressed Interest" In Transferring To Duke

Back in August, when Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller was ruled out for the season after suffering a shoulder injury, most Buckeyes fans figured the 2014 campaign was going to be one to forget. Instead, backup J.T. Barrett, who in the process re-wrote the school's record books, led OSU to an undefeated regular season. And after Barrett went down with a broken ankle, third string signal-caller Cardale Jones stepped in and played admirably in the Big Ten title game against Wisconsin.

One side effect of the success? Miller is no longer guaranteed to be the starter in 2015, despite his status as the most-experienced quarterback on the roster. It's a strange situation for a Heisman Trophy favorite to find himself in.

There have been dozens of rumors regarding Miller potentially using the graduate transfer rule to find a program in need of a one-year rental at quarterback. Sunday night, 247 Sports' Adam Rowe dropped an interesting bit of news. Miller has reportedly "expressed interest" in transferring to Duke.

However, Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel has been released to Duke. among other schools. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, according to sources, has expressed interest in transferring to Duke as well. Both Driskel and Miller would be eligible to play next season.

Moving from Ohio State to Duke would certainly be a bit of culture shock for Miller, but the Blue Devils have won 19 games in the past two years. It'll be interesting to see if this goes anywhere.
