Duke leads North Carolina 40-38 at the half in a very exciting rivalry game thus far. The Blue Devils have a lot working against them so far though.

Obviously, Zion Williamson is out for this game. He suffered an injury in the first minute of the Duke-UNC game at Cameron Indoor Stadium a few weeks ago, and hasn't played since.

About 2:30 into this game, Duke lost another key front court player. Marques Bolden suffered a scary-looking injury under the basket, contesting a fast-break shot at the rim.

That adds even more pressure to star Duke wing R.J. Barrett. Unfortunately for Coach K and his team, Barrett is in some rare foul trouble early on.

R.J. Barrett picked up his third foul on a charge late in the first half.

That leaves him with just two to work with in the second frame. Expect the Tar Heels to go right at him.

We'll see how Coach K handles his minutes. Fouling has not been an issue for Barrett much this year, so perhaps he'll give him a longer leash than many guys would get.

Barrett has only fouled out of one game this year: Duke's non-conference win over Indiana. He's reached four fouls on just five occasions.

The potential No. 1 pick hasn't had a great day otherwise either. He has nine points on 10 shots from the field, though he has grabbed four rebounds and has three assists.

Luckily, the other other Duke star freshman is having a day. Cam Reddish leads all scorers with 17 at the half.
