Before the NBA Draft took place on Thursday, Duke star RJ Barrett made it known that he wants to play for the Knicks. The No. 3 overall pick clearly doesn't mind the pressure that comes with playing in such a big city.

Well, it didn't take long for basketball fans to catch Barrett's first error in the NBA. However, it's probably better off being classified as a misunderstanding than an actual mistake.

During the NBA's annual award show, Barrett took a picture with Luka Doncic, who won the Rookie of the Year. He posted the photo on Instagram with his instructions for the advertisement.

It appears that Barrett misunderstood how he was supposed to post his sponsored Instagram story.

Barrett eventually took down the post, but not before people shared a screenshot of his minor mishap.

Check it out:

The majority of fans are poking fun at the situation in a positive light. After all, it's not like a serious mistake took place last night.

Nonetheless, Barrett is probably learning that every move he makes is now under a microscope in the NBA.

We'll see if Barrett can lead the Knicks back to relevancy when the NBA Summer League begins in the near future.
