This is what Christmas is all about.
Videos of people receiving surprise gifts will never get old, and the one you’re about to see might get you choked up.
Bill Slayton, an English teacher at Porter-Gaud, is a huge Duke fan, so when his students surprised him with tickets to the Duke-Florida State game, he was overcome with emotion.
“I haven’t seen a game in Cameron in probably 10 years,” he says with tears in his eyes, “When I was a grad student there I would go to every single game—sometimes I had to sneak in, but I’d go to every game.”

“I was so surprised. It hit so suddenly, I was choked up,” Slayton told Moultrie News. “I couldn’t find the words for a minute or two. It’s one thing to bring cookies or something like that. But this is so meaningful. They planned it all so cleverly. It just means a lot that they would think of me right before their own exams.”
Kudos to those students for giving one heck of a Christmas gift.
