There's a little over one month left in the college basketball regular season. Conference championship races are taking shape and you can see March Madness on the horizon.
While any program, big or small, can capture the attention of fans during the NCAA Tournament, it seems like only a select few draw eyeballs consistently during the regular season.
According to KSR's Matt Jones, the five highest-rated college basketball games on television this year have all included Duke or Kentucky.
The opening night matchup between these two blue bloods has drawn the third-best ratings thus far. Duke-Virginia is No. 1, with Kentucky's win over Kansas last weekend checking in at No. 2.
Here is the full top five.
There are going to be people who disagree with Jones' last statement, that Kentucky and Duke are the "only" two consistently marketable programs in college hoops. North Carolina and Kansas are both consistent winners and national brands with large fan bases.
However, Kentucky and Duke often roster the most "talented" and marketable players in the sport, thanks to one-and-done recruiting. That has to play a major factor in drawing in viewers.
It will be interesting to see if Duke and Kentucky are still dominating the ratings when the regular season is over.
