We have a potential upset alert brewing in Columbia, South Carolina. The ninth-seeded UCF Knights are battling top-seeded Duke.

Duke led 44-36 at halftime but UCF has owned much of the second half. The Knights opened the half on a 7-0 run, and after Duke went ahead 51-43, UCF countered with a 14-6 spurt.

Veteran wing Aubrey Dawkins has kept UCF in it with hot shooting, but the Knights have also made use of a savvy defensive adjustment. They are essentially allowing Duke point guard Tre Jones to shoot at will.

Jones is a strong defender and solid playmaker, but he is not a good outside shooter. His inability to make wide-open shots this half has been a killer for Duke.

Duke is trying to make the Sweet 16 for the fifth time in the last seven years. The Blue Devils haven't made the Final Four since they won it all in 2015.

The winner of this game will play either fourth-seeded Virginia Tech or the No. 12 seed Liberty.
