Earlier this week, it was reported that Duke star freshman Jabari Parker, who many believe is one of the most talented prospects in college basketball, had secured housing for his sophomore year at Duke. The implication was that while Parker had not yet made up his mind, he was at least giving himself the option to return to the Blue Devils for one more season. Well, not so much. Parker joined Michelle Beadle today on SportsNation and called the report a "lie".
He also said that he has not yet made up his mind on next year, but that he'll make his announcement next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Parker averaged 19.1 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game this past season at Duke. His team was knocked out of the NCAA Tournament in its first game by Mercer, leading many to speculate that he may return for one more go.
