5-Star Walker Kessler Sets Up 4 Official Visits
Walker Kessler is among the most coveted recruits in the 2020 class. The 6-foot-10 center has been moving along his recruitment at a pretty brisk pace.
Last month, the five-star out of Georgia cut his list down to six programs. Auburn, Cal, Duke, Gonzaga, Michigan, and North Carolina made the cut.
He's already taken an official visit to Auburn, per reports. Now, he's sorting out some of his other OVs for the next few months.
Michigan is on deck. Kessler is heading to Ann Arbor at the end of the month.
After the Michigan visit, Walker Kessler will head to Duke, North Carolina, and Gonzaga between September and October.
From Rivals' Dan McDonald:
Kessler is ranked No. 16 overall in the country. He's the fourth-ranked center in the class, and the top player out of Georgia.
Before he named his top six, his home state Georgia Bulldogs were expected to have a major say in this recruitment. He has strong family connections to Tom Crean's program, but eliminated them from contention last month.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Duke is considered a favorite here. Eight of the 10 early predictions in 247Sports' crystal ball current peg Kessler to wind up with the Blue Devils. Duke's 2020 class already features two other five-star players: forward Jalen Johnson and guard Jeremy Roach.
