Zion Williamson missed the second half of today’s dramatic win over Florida State, after being poked in the eye.
The Duke superstar was off to a huge day, with 11 points and eight rebounds in the first half, before being forced to leave the game.
In his absence, fellow potential No. 1 pick R.J. Barrett and lottery hopeful Cam Reddish shined.
Barrett, the No. 1 recruit in the country last year, led the way with 32 points.
Reddish broke out for 23, tying his second-highest output of the year. He also hit the game’s biggest shot.
Down 78-77 with just seconds remaining, Duke somehow got Reddish open for an open three, which he drilled to put the Blue Devils up two with under a second left.
Florida State could not score on a miracle moments later, and Duke sealed the dramatic win.
After the game, Mike Krzyzewski gave a Zion Williamson injury update.
Luckily, it sounds like the phenom wing will be good to go for the upcoming Big Monday game against Syracuse.
Mike Krzyzewski told reporters in the post game press conference that Zion Williamson had double vision in the second half and that's why he didn't play. Should be good to go on Monday against Syracuse.
