Florida State just scored a huge commitment from the nation's No. 1 junior cornerback.
West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central five-star cornerback Akeem Dent has committed to Florida State while on a visit to campus.
Dent camped at Florida State this weekend and made the call for the Seminoles today.
Scout.com's Corey Bender broke the news on Twitter, and Dent quickly confirmed it himself.
In addition to being the top corner in 2019, Dent is the No. 2 player in the state of Florida and the No. 5 player nationally, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Miami is pursuing Dent heavily, among other programs, so his recruitment is probably far from over.
However, FSU has him in the fold for now, and Jimbo Fisher will try and make sure it stays that way.
