While we’re still a few months away from the start of the 2018 college football season, some major 2019 scheduling news is set to be announced today.
A major non-conference game has been scheduled as the 2019 season opener. Florida State and Boise State will get things started in Jacksonville.
College football insider Brett McMurphy broke the news yesterday on Twitter. An official announcement is expected today.
The game is set to be played at TIAA Bank Field, home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

While this matchup will technically be a neutral site game, the two teams will meet again on Sept. 19, 2020 at Albertson’s Stadium in Boise.
Boise State has played early-season non-conference games against Washington, Ole Miss, Michigan State and Washington State in recent years. The Broncos don’t shy away from anyone.
Florida State opened last year up against Alabama and began the 2016 season against Ole Miss. The Seminoles also kicked off the 2014 campaign against Oklahoma State.
This should be a fun one in 2019.
