Asante Samuel Jr. is apparently talking to some programs.

Asante Samuel Jr., son of former NFL star Asante Samuel, is a four-star defensive back recruit who committed to Florida State back in April of 2017. Tuesday, Samuel issued an interesting update on his status via Twitter.

Samuel, who has offers from 38 different schools, tweeted that he had a "good talk" with two schools - Ohio State or South Carolina.

His tweet comes less than a week after Jimbo Fisher left Florida State to take the job at Texas A&M.

It's important to note that Samuel has not decommitted from Florida State. But clearly he's talking to other programs.

Samuel, who stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, has offers from Florida State, South Carolina, Akron, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Clemson, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Miami (OH), Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC STate, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, UCF, UCLA, Wake Forest and West Virginia, per 247 Sports.
