Christian & Sam Ponder Had A Daughter, Reportedly Named Her After Bobby Bowden
Update: Sam Ponder posted the first picture of the couple's new baby daughter on her Instagram account, and also took some time to thank those who knew for keeping the news of the pregnancy under wraps. It is truly amazing that news didn't get out until a month after the baby's birth.
Original: One of football's favorite couples recently gave birth to a daughter.
Christian Ponder, an NFL quarterback and former Florida State star, and Sam Ponder, a college football reporter for ESPN, welcomed a little girl into the world this month. Somehow, the couple kept the pregnancy news from getting out until recently.
The baby girl was reportedly named after legendary Florida State coach Bobby Bowden.

It'll be interesting to see how this affects Sam Ponder's status at ESPN. A rising star with the network, she is expected to continue her duties with "College GameDay," a program that begins with the start of the college football season at the end of August. Nothing has been reported concerning a maternity leave.
