Denver Nuggets Select Former FSU Star Malik Beasley 19th Overall

The 2016 NBA Draft is officially underway in Brooklyn, New York.

With the 19th pick in the draft, the Denver Nuggets selected former Florida State star Malik Beasley, marking the first time a Seminole has been drafted in the first round since 2011 when Chris Singleton was drafted No. 18th overall by the Washington Wizards.

FSU head coach Leonard Hamilton has upped the ante on the recruiting trail as of late, and likely has a couple more first rounders on campus as we speak. It will be interesting to see if he can continue this trend in Tallahassee.
