Jimbo Fisher’s long-rumored departure to Texas A&M came to fruition today, and quarterback Deondre Francois doesn’t like how things were handled.
Fisher leaves the Seminoles after weeks of speculation, just a day ahead of FSU’s final regular season game against Louisiana-Monroe. The ‘Noles rescheduled the game, which was postponed due to hurricane season, and need the win to clinch bowl eligibility.
A number of Florida State players have taken to social media to react to the news, perhaps none more important than Francois, the star quarterback who suffered a season-ending injury in the opener vs. Alabama. That injury altered the course of the entire college football season, and there’s no telling what it wound up meaning for the future of Florida State’s program.
Francois seems upset by the lack of communication from Fisher ahead of his decision.
No call, no text, you could of said something …

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach says that Fisher attempted to reach players before the A&M news finally broke.
In Jimbo's defense, he was trying to get to players before news leaked https://t.co/95ZergSzR6

Other players, especially the ‘Noles upperclassmen, expressed more admiration for Fisher on his way out.
