Heading into week eight of the college football season, there were six undefeated teams left in the country. But after yet another highly entertaining Saturday, we're down to just four - Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida State and Marshall. Baylor was upended by West Virginia in Morgantown, and Notre Dame lost after a controversial pass interference calldown in Tallahassee.
As he's done after each week, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit has put together a list of what he considers the to be the four teams most deserving of a College Football Playoff bid - at least right now. This week's group includes the three undefeated teams from "Power 5" conferences and a resurgent one-loss Oregon team.

It's hard to argue with the inclusion of either Mississippi school. Florida State is also deserving of a bid, regardless of how Saturday's night game ended. The real debate is which one-loss team deserves that last spot. Herbstreit believes Oregon has done more, thus far, than the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan State and a few other title contenders.
What do you think, college football fans? Does it have it right?
