While there's been nothing definitive regarding Les Miles' job status at LSU, many fans and analysts have been speculating that the Tigers could already be shopping for a new coach in the background. The most often-brought-up name the past week? Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, who has already proven that he has what it takes to win a national championship.
Fisher, in general, has a rule that he doesn't address coaching rumors. But Wednesday night, on his radio show, a caller asked him "what it would take" for him to leave Florida State. Chris Nee over at 247Sports transcribed Fisher's response.
"I'm happy where I'm at. I'm very happy here. I've got a great job," Fisher asnwered. "You don't ever get into that. That is why I don't ever comment on jobs - I made that statement earlier. That is disrespectful to both sides of it.
"I love this place. It is a great place and it has been very good to me," Fisher added. "Hopefully I will end up being very good to it."
Obviously, we'll know more in a week, when the regular season has ended for both squads. But it certainly seems, at this point, like Fisher is content staying in Tallahassee.
