Florida State athletic director Stan Wilcox has released a statement regarding former Seminole quarterback Jameis Winston saying a Tallahassee Publix gave him the "hook-up" with free food.
Winston, the probable No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, told Michigan's Jim Harbaugh on ESPN's Draft Academy special that a Publix employee gave him for free the crab legs he was accused of stealing.
Wilcox says FSU will "work in partnership with the NCAA" to determine if an NCAA violation occurred.

Publix, a grocery store chain popular in Florida, disputes Winston's "hook-up" claim via USA Today.
"When we conducted the original investigation with the store associates and management both, we found no information that would corroborate the story that there was any arrangement for Jameis or any other FSU athlete to get any product for free," said Maria Brous, Publix's director of media and community relations.
This certainly won't be the last we hear of this situation. More as it develops.
