Florida State Announces That Jameis Winston Will Be Suspended For 1st Half Of Clemson Game

Florida State has decided that it will be punishing Jameis Winston for his vulgar, obscene outburston the Tallahassee campus Tuesday afternoon. 

The Heisman winning quarterback will be suspended for the first half of the Seminoles' game against Clemson Saturday night.

Earlier today, coach Jimbo Fisher said, regarding the issue, "you can't make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race, gender..." and stated that "we're deciding on that" when asked if Winston could miss time. 

In Winston's absence from the field, backup quarterback Sean Maguire is expected to get the start. The sophomore has completed three passes for 28 yards this season. 

Florida State and Clemson are set to kickoff at 8 p.m. E.T. Saturday night. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
