Backup quarterback Sean Maguire performed admirably during Florida State's 23-17 overtime win over Clemson on Saturday night, but his stat line -- 21-for-39 with 305 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions -- wasn't exactly Heisman caliber. Fortunately for Seminoles fans, head coach Jimbo Fisher said after the game that suspended quarterback Jameis Winston will go back to being the squad's starter on Monday.
It's been a long week for Winston, as he was suspended for a half on Wednesday for screaming an inappropriate phrase on campus. The school announced that his suspension was extended to a whole game on Friday night, and the reigning Heisman Trophy winner watched the entire game against Clemson on the sidelines, even though he tried putting on pads and warming up before the game.
Hopefully this week got to Winston, and the only reason he makes headlines for the rest of this season is because of his performance on the field.
