Florida State Football: Florida State Has Suspended 4-Star Freshman QB De'Andre Johnson

Update: ESPN's Mark Schlabach is reporting Johnson is accused of punching a woman in a bar.

Earlier: Florida State freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson, a four-star recruit in the 2015 class, has been suspended from the program, according to a school release. 

Details on the reasoning for the suspension are light, with the release citing "a violation of athletic department policy." 

Johnson, a dual-threat QB, has been praised for his play since arriving in Tallahassee, Fla.

The length of the suspension is also unclear. 

Florida State opens its 2015 season Sept. 5 against Texas State.
