Florida State Football: Photo/Video: FSU Helmets Will No Longer Feature Crossing Spear Pattern In Back

After winning the 2013-14 BCS National Championship, Florida State redesigned its spear logo and football uniforms. As you can imagine, it wasn't the most popular move. While FSU is not reverting back to the pre-2014 uniforms, they have adjusted one aspect of the helmets to make them look more classic. The spears on either side of the helmet will no longer cross in the back.

While the spear logo remains largely the same otherwise, it is interesting that FSU reverted the look a bit, even if it was just this one aspect. The look at the new helmet was first seen in this video, which was released by Florida State today:
