Florida State President John Thrasher Fires Back At Marco Rubio Over FSU Diss
Yesterday, Florida senator and Republic Presidential hopeful Marco Rubio took a jab at Florida State's academics during a radio interview in Iowa. Rubio is a Florida alumnus who attended law school at Miami.
Today, FSU President John Thrasher and former Florida legislator John Thrasher fired back at Rubio, and his response was a pretty good one.
“He’s a nice kid,” said FSU President John Thrasher, who served with Rubio in Florida legislature. “I’m sure he’s frustrated by his low standing in the polls, which I believe could be a reflection of where he got his education.”
Ouch. The football rivalries in the Sunshine State are never boring, that's for sure.
