Florida State Running Back Dalvin Cook's Trial Date Has Been Set

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook's trial date has been set for the week of August 24, before the start of college football season.

Cook was suspended indefinitely July 10 after allegedly punching a 21-year-old woman in the face at a Tallahassee bar. While multiple stories have come to the surface since the incident, Cook's future - or lack thereof - at FSU will be unknown until the completion of his trial. And in the midst of that uncertainty, the football team recently took two different team photos during FSU Media Day - one with Cook, and one without.

Now with the trial date set, it appears the Seminoles will find out whether or not they'll have their starting running back before the season begins September 5 at home against Texas State.

Cook rushed for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman last season, and is believed to be vital to FSU's success in 2015.
