Former Florida State Coach Willie Taggart Spotted At Michigan

Former Florida State head coach Willie Taggart has plenty of time of free time on his hands lately. That’s due to FSU’s recent firing of Taggart after the Seminoles’ 4-5 start to the 2019-20 season.

Now jobless, Taggart is spending time doing what he wants. And on Thursday evening, that was attending a Michigan hockey game with Jack Harbaugh.

Check out a picture of the two cheering on the Wolverines in the tweet below.

This could mean absolutely nothing. But it’s certainly interesting and of course, the rumors are now starting to brew.

Taggart’s ties to the Harbaugh family go way back. Could this be a sign of things to come?

Taggart struggled coaching an entire program, as evident during his time with Florida State and Oregon. But there’s no doubt he’s a bright offensive mind – and the Wolverines have struggled on that side of the ball for some time now.

It’s all speculation, but it’s certainly an interesting idea.

Of course, this could simply be two old friends enjoying a hockey game together. Taggart was recruited by Jack and Jim Harbaugh to play for Western Kentucky out of high school. Western Kentucky’s head coach at the time was Jack as Jim served as an assistant.

Taggart then began his coaching career with Jack and WKU before heading to Stanford with Jim. Simply to say, there’s plenty of interesting connections here.

Will Taggart end up on the Michigan Wolverines’ coaching staff? This will be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
