Former NFL QB Trashes George Whitfield After Jameis Winston's Pro Day Workout

Shaun King certainly wasn't an NFL star, but he did put together a respectable career, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts. King hasn't suited up professionally since 2007, but if you follow him on Twitter, you know he still keeps tabs on the game. Tuesday, he went on a bit of a rant about a certain trend that's left him unimpressed.

King, after watching former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston's Pro Day workout, teed off on quarterback "guru" George Whitfield, who has been working with signal-callers as they transition from college to the NFL. King wasn't a fan of the props Winston brought to his workout, nor was he high on Winston's footwork or accuracy.

Whitfield lists Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel and EJ Manuel as former clients, for the record. King doesn't seem to find what Whitfield has accomplished as impressive. Check it out:

Winston is widely expected to be taken with the first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers later this month. Perhaps that wouldn't be the case if King were running the show.
