There’s some shade in the air in Tallahassee.
Florida State introduced new head coach Willie Taggart today, and the school president took a shot at the old coach in the process.
During the intro presser, FSU president John Thrasher said it was a “no-brainer” to hire Taggart to replace Jimbo Fisher.
For those unfamiliar, that is a not-so-subtle reference to Fisher saying it was a “no-brainer” for him to leave FSU for Texas A&M.

John Thrasher takes a veiled shot, using Jimbo Fisher's "No Brainer" line to describe Willie Taggart's decision to take his dream job.

Thrasher likely won some brownie points with the Seminole fan base with that comment. Fisher accomplished a lot at Florida State but there are many fans who are unhappy with how things ended.
Looking toward the future, Taggart inherits plenty of talent and should be able to bring in a lot of his own. Expect the Seminoles to bounce back from this year’s disappointing campaign.
