Earlier: When former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was caught shoplifting crab legs from a Tallahassee Publix last April, the Internet was not kind to him. The then-reigning Heisman Trophy winner was memed, ridiculed, criticized and, more than anything else, mocked for the transgression. Thursday night, he decided to get a little bit of payback on all of the haters.
Winston, after being drafted No. 1 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, trolled the world by posting an Instagram photo of himself eating crab legs in celebration. Check it out:
Winston has since explained that he had a "hook up" at that particular Publix, implying that someone on the inside knew he was getting free food. Either way, this is a fitting way for him to end his college career.
