Jeff Long Says TCU Jumped Florida State Because Of The Seminoles' Struggles With Unranked Teams

The biggest surprise from the most recent College Football Playoff rankings was that 10-1 TCU jumped 12-0 Florida State and became the No. 3 team in the country. When asked about the decision to drop the Seminoles to No. 4, committee chairman Jeff Long said that Florida State's struggles against unranked teams were what ultimately led to the move.

The Seminoles have especially struggled with unranked squads over their last three games, as FSU beat Miami by four points, Boston College by three points and Florida by five points.

We'll see if Florida State can bolster its resume when it takes on No. 11 Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday. The game kicks off at 8:00 P.M. EST on ABC.
