Video: Miami Extra Point Blocked, Florida State Hangs On To Win 20-19

Miami extra point blocked by Florida State's DeMarcus Walker, allowing the Seminoles to hang on to defeat the Hurricanes 20-19 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Just when it looked like The U had tied up its rivalry game with Florida State, special teams disaster struck. After a beautiful touchdown throw from Brad Kaaya to Stacy Coley, the Hurricanes' game-tying extra point attempt was blocked by the FSU superstar defensive end.

This rivalry has featured a number of momentous missed kicks. The usually-dependable Michael Badgley adds his name to that unfortunate list.

Badgley had converted on his previous 72 extra points in a row.

On the ensuing drive, Florida State's Deondre Francois and Dalvin Cook picked up big first downs, and the 'Noles were able to take knees to kill the rest of the clock. The win pushes Florida State to 4-2, and knocks Miami from the ranks of the unbeaten. This loss will be an extremely hard pill for The U faithful to swallow, against an archrival that they just can't seem to get over the hump against.
