Miami, FSU Assistants Engage In Funny Twitter Exchange Over Miami Area Recruiting
The state of Florida in general, and the Miami area in particular are extremely fertile recruiting grounds for college football. It is critical for schools in Florida to be able to land prospects from the 305, as it is known because of the area code.
Miami used to recruit its home base extremely well, but other schools have since moved in and taken recruits from the 'Canes backyard. Currently though, seven of Miami's 14 class of 2017 commits are from the city.
One of those commits is four-star offensive lineman Navaughn Davidson. Tonight, Miami recruiting coordinator Jorge Baez indirectly tweeted about Davidson and said his pledge to the 'Canes indicates the program is starting to be able to keep its local targets home.

Well, Florida State assistant coach Tim Brewster clearly wasn't buying what Baez was selling, so he tweeted back at him.
">@Coach_Baez Lmao!!! I ll be in my backyard tomorrow! It's a NoleNation!

Then, it was Baez's turn to fire a salvo.

Brewster did not respond to Baez's last tweet directly, but he did tweet about him to Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, a known Miami fan and assistant coach at Jackson High in Miami.
">@unclelukereal1 what's your boy talkin about Luke? see you tomorrow!

That's an epic Twitter exchange among coaching rivals. Miami is going to have to win some more battles on the recruiting trail and on the field in order to have the last laugh.
