Photo: Florida State Using "12 Man" In Advertisements, Texas A&M Fans, Players Are Upset

While the concept of calling the crowd at a home football game the "12 Man" has been widely used throughout the sport for years, the Texas A&M Aggies, who own the trademark on the term, have been doing their best to remind everyone every year that it's their marketing slogan. Today, Aggies fans are a little upset, as Florida State seems to be trying to get in on the action.

The Seminoles are running a ticket sales advertisement in the Tallahassee Democrat that makes use of the term. Both Aggies fans and players are a bit confused as to why.

You can assume that if Texas A&M sees the ad, the administration will do its best to stop FSU from using it in the future. Still, this is a bit odd - the Seminoles have plenty of traditions of their own to capitalize on.
