Something really cool happened during the opening weekend of college football, but it wasn't on the field. Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, prior to taking the field for the season opener against Texas State, FaceTimed a young FSU fan to cheer him on during his own battle.
Jacob, who recently underwent his first chemo treatment, received the surprise of a lifetime Saturday night as he and his family were getting ready to watch the Seminoles on TV, when he found Fisher on the other end of an incoming FaceTime call. After words of encouragement and praise, Fisher even invited Jacob to be his personal guest for one of FSU's games.
Jacob's mom, Kari, posted this touching video on Facebook, and Tomahawk Nation was able to track it down.
Jacob just received the coolest FaceTime call ever! Jimbo Fisher took time out of his busy day - first game of the season and Facetimed Jacob!! Too cool!! Jacob was caught off guard but he loved it! So classy Jimbo! Thank you so much for taking time for our son!!! GO NOLES!!!!

It's really cool to see Fisher taking time out of his day - a game day - to reach out to a young fan in need of some encouragement.
