Florida State scored a 20-19 victory over in-state rival Miami last Saturday, with a blocked extra point serving as the margin of victory.
As a result, the Florida State Sod Cemetery has a new addition. The team keeps a “cemetery” of sod from the field after certain big wins. According to the Florida State 247Sports site, sod is added for road wins in which Florida State is an underdog, all road wins at the University of Florida, and any win in an ACC title game or bowl game.
Since Miami was favored, the sod collected by running back Dalvin Cook received a proper burial this week.
We hope that the Miami sod finds eternal peace at its final resting place. ? pic.twitter.com/o6PjgHraeR
