With the college football season approaching fairly soon, former Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois is running out of options.

Back in May, all signs pointed to Francois joining Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic. This would provide him the chance to remain in Florida while also playing against strong competition.

Unfortunately for Francois, it sounds like his best option might be an FCS school.

According to Maria Martin, Francois spent time at Alabama State's campus heading into last weekend. There isn't anything official yet, but it might be his best option available.

Francois transferring to Alabama State would make for an interesting matchup in November, when the team faces Florida State on the road.

The Seminoles dismissed Francois from the program after an alleged domestic violence incident between him and his girlfriend. Sadly, it wasn't the first time that he found himself in trouble at Florida State.

Francois began his career at Florida State by winning ACC Rookie of the Year. He then suffered an injury to his patella tendon in his sophomore season.

Although Francois has shown that he has the talent to succeed against top programs in the ACC, his career has been plagued with issues off the field.

It's been a rough collegiate career for Francois, but perhaps he'll make the most out of his final season.
