Willie Taggart is moving to Florida State after a year at Oregon, and he’s making some serious coin with the jump as well.
Taggart made $2.9 million at Oregon this season, according to USA Today‘s coaching salary database.
He had a big new contract on the table at Oregon, but that couldn’t stop him from making the jump to Florida State, the school he reportedly grew up rooting for.
According to Yahoo! Sports’ Pete Thamel, Taggart will make $5 million a year at Florida State, with a six-year deal.
Source: Willie Taggart’s terms at FLORIDA STATE are 6 years and $30 million. (He has obviously taken that job and left Oregon. Long day).

It’s not Jimbo Fisher money, but coincidentally, that is the same amount that Texas A&M paid its last coach, Kevin Sumlin, this fall. $5 million would put Taggart at No. 10 in the country in salary in 2017.
Jimbo Fisher made $5.7 million from Florida State this fall.
