Georgia Tech Twitter Account Trolls Miami Hard In Response To Florida State

Georgia Tech officials took the opportunity, on the day that college football returns, to troll ACC rival Miami really hard on Twitter.

The Georgia Tech Office of Emergency Preparedness sent out a tweet warning of heavy traffic around the campus area due to a number of events, including an Atlanta Falcons preseason game at the Georgia Dome and an AC/DC show at Phillips Arena.

Florida State's 'SeminoleSAFE' account responded with a bit about Hurricane Hermine, a Category 1 storm expected to hit Florida tonight. That opened the door for Georgia Tech to send a big time troll tweet in response, making fun of Florida State rival Miami.

Point, Yellow Jackets.

Unfortunately for fans of The U, the Hurricanes don't have a ton of room for response. The 'Canes have not won a game in Tallahassee since the 2009 season opener, when Randy Shannon's team came up with a big 38-34 win at Doak Campbell Stadium. The two teams have shared some fairly close head-to-head games, but Miami has struggled to get back to championship form, while Florida State has reemerged as a national power under Jimbo Fisher, capped by the 2013 National Championship.

We'll see if Miami responds to this burn, but the 'Canes may be better off letting Mark Richt do his work on the field.
