Bobby Petrino Tweets Support For Former Cardinal Teddy Bridgewater

Members of the football community showed love and support to Teddy Bridgewater following his horrific injury during yesterday's practice.

NFL players immediately jumped to social media to give their thoughts and prayers to the young player. This morning, current Louisville Cardinals head coach Bobby Petrino took to Twitter to extend his warm thoughts to the former Cardinals star. Though Petrino never coached Bridgewater, he refers to their Cardinals bond in his message.

Check out his tweet below:

Bridgewater played three years of college ball, chasing to enter the draft in 2014 rather than play his senior season. The quarterback completed 303 of 427 passes for 3,970 yards with 31 touchdowns and four interceptions as a junior. The Vikings then drafted Bridgewater in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback suffered a "possibly season ending...significant knee injury." According to reports, teammates “freaked out, swearing, and praying.” Following the incident, the Vikings cancelled the remainder of practice to recover and to await news.
