Two of the best teams in college hoop will square off tonight in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Both the Louisville Cardinals and Michigan Wolverines are undefeated through the first month of the season.
Louisville entered this season with high expectations because of junior forward Jordan Nwora, who is averaging 21.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
As for Michigan, the basketball program wasn’t sure what to expect this year under Juwan Howard. Nonetheless, it’s pretty safe to say the former member of the ‘Fab Five’ is handling his new role very well.
Howard led Michigan to impressive wins over Gonzaga and North Carolina in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in The Bahamas.
Next up for the Wolverines is a road test against the Cardinals. It’ll be the toughest challenge to date for Howard’s team.
According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, Louisville has a 78.1 percent chance to defeat Michigan on Tuesday night.
Since the Wolverines will be in a hostile environment, it’s imperative that seniors Jon Teske and Zavier Simpson play well and keep this team afloat.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from the KFC Yum! Center.
ESPN will broadcast this tremendous matchup between two of the top four teams in the country.
