Saturday night, Louisville got a lift from an unexpected source, as sophomore guard Anton Gill hit a number of key shots down the stretch, allowing the Cardinals to pull away from NC State in the game's final minutes. Gill, who notched two steals and seven points, hadn't scored in a game since way back on February 28. Oddly enough, head coach Rick Pitino told reporters after the game that he'd recently had a conversation with the sophomore about being ready when the opportunity should come.
After the contest, a photo of Louisville's players mobbing Gill in the locker room went viral. It was an awesome moment.

Gill and his teammates next face another stiff test in Michigan State. The winner will find itself in the Final Four - and probably with an even bigger locker room celebration.
