Yesterday, ESPN’s Joe Schad tweeted out the details of yet another alleged violation regarding Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. An east coast broker claimed that he paid Johnny Football $7,500 for signed memorabilia.
Now, we’re learning that one particular eBay account has signed memorabilia for sale from other college athletes. The Hub Collectibles account has signed helmets and footballs from both South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney and Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater.
Here’s a photo of signed Louisville helmets and footballs with Bridgewater’s signature going for $249.95:
There is no evidence that either were paid for signing any of the merchandise, and Clowney and Bridgewater could have no idea that their autographs ended up in the hands of this broker. We’ll find out.
