John Calipari couldn't resist taking a jab at rival Louisville today.
The Kentucky head coach even took down one of his assistants in friendly fire while trolling the Cards. Kenny Payne, a former Louisville guard, has been on Cal's staff at Kentucky since 2010.
It all started when Calipari was asked about Payne not having read the coach's new book.
Shots fired. Sure there is sarcasm here and Calipari is just having fun. But this won't ease the intensity of this fervent rivalry at all.
Then again, that's probably a good thing. UK-UL is one of the most anticipated and usually one of the most exciting games of the college basketball season.
This year's match-up takes place on Dec. 21 in Louisville.
