Update: The incident was not caught on video (or at least no video has come out yet), but Pastner spoke about the incident in his postgame presser:
Earlier: Just five days after a 69-53 loss to Cincinnati that left a bad taste in many Memphis fans' mouths, Josh Pastner and his Tigers team landed what is perhaps the biggest win of his career, knocking off rival Louisville at the Yum! Center 73-69.
While this win is huge for Memphis, and Pastner in particular, it is what happened after the game that is making waves on the internet right now:
While taunting the crowd is always bad form on a coach's part, Pastner has received a ton of criticism from Memphis fans over the last few years, and this display of sticking up for his team, combined with a huge win over an elite program like Louisville, may actually help him out in the eyes of Tiger fans.
After the incident, Pastner had a unique comeback for those calling his players "thugs":
You tell 'em, Josh.
