Louisville Football No Longer Accepting Autograph Requests Over Eligibility Concerns

Louisville football announced today that it will no longer be accepting autograph requests for any players.

The reason? Eligibility concerns. The official Louisville football Twitter account shared the news this afternoon.

Currently 271 items labeled “Lamar Jackson” on eBay, and there are Ebayers waiting outside the complex for him after games.

This is unfortunate, because surely there are young Louisville fans out there who want Jackson's autograph (or that of another player) surely for the sake of having it. But the adults seeking profit could cost a player his eligibility. As Darren Rovell points out, players can still sign, but the school will no longer serve as a middle man of sorts.

Louisville has a bye this week before hosting Duke on Friday, Oct. 14.
